District 24 Senate candidate forum hosted by the Fort Pierre Chamber of Commerce

The Fort Pierre Chamber of Commerce hosted a candidate forum April 23, 2026, at the Community Youth Involved Center in Fort Pierre. FP Chamber Executive Director Shane Kramme emceed and the moderators were DRG Media Group News and Farm Director Jody Heemstra and Riverfront Broadcasting News Director Zach Nelson.

Republican District 24 Senate candidates on the ballot are (2 year term):
Jim Mehlhaff– incumbent,
Brian Murphy, and
Mark Nelson.
