There are seven ballot measures on South Dakota’s Nov. 5, 2024, general election ballot and at least half of them have some sort of verbiage disagreement between the proponents and the opponents. The result puts voters in the middle trying to sort through messages that spin one way or another to find information. One of the issues is Referred Law 21. The South Dakota Farmers Union organization is urging people to vote against it, while the South Dakota Corn Growers organization is urging people to support it. In this podcast, you'll hear from SD Corn Growers Executive Director DaNita Murray and SD Farmers Union President Doug Sombke.

The 97th annual National FFA Convention is Oct. 23-26, 2024, in Indianapolis. Gettysburg High School juniors Trace Genzler and Bobbi Eide are two of the students from South Dakota who will be competing. Helping the next generation is the focus of the South Dakota Farmers Union's Herd Builder Award. The winners were selected by a panel of judges based on an application. One of those winners is Rylan Faugerhaug of Wessington Springs.
